Hitler’s Work of Art

Adolf Hitler was a politician known for his socialist ideology. He was born on April 20, 1889 and he died on April 30, 1945. He was the chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945 and the Fuhrer of Nazi Germany from 1934 to 1945.

Many people think that he is only an effective dictator and decorated World War I veteran but not all people think that he had an artistic side. He actually painted a still-life watercolour painting when he was young. His 1912 canvas was auctioned at the Nate D. Sanders auction house on March 26, 2015.

Here are some details about his work:

  • Size: The size is 13.5 by 10.75 inch (34.3 by 27.3 cm).
  • Bidding cost: The bidding started at $30,000.
  • Look: The painting features a blue ceramic pitcher holding different colours of flowers. The flowers were unusual subject for the strong and rigid Hitler. The flowers are orange, red and soft pink. During his short venture, Hitler focused on landscapes and architecture.hitler-painting-3

For Singaporean artists out there, this is something worth looking at. This means that even the strongest leaders out there, there is an artist inside of them. Hitler sold some of his works to a Jewish art dealer. After seizing power, Hitler raided the gallery where most of his works were featured and deported the dealer to Lodz Ghetto. This is according to the auction house based in Los Angeles.

We do not know who got the painting yet but it must be expensive and worth a fortune.
